Individual, Small, and Large Group Presentations Coaching

Whether you are presenting to a large group, pitching a proposal to investors, or leading a meeting with colleagues, the rules of the game are the same. You need to be clear, credible, confident – and relevant. You want to listen actively, adapt your approach as you learn about your audience, and aim to stay calm and focused if you are interrupted and challenged.

This work focuses both on content and style. It equips individuals to present ideas with clarity and power and to facilitate collaborative decision-making in an executive-level meeting. You’ll get tools for thinking on your feet and framing issues and proposals more effectively. You’ll get skills and strategies for focusing discussion, handling distractions, and driving decisions. You’ll prepare for an upcoming presentation or conversation from work, role play on videotape, and get candid feedback and coaching from the instructor and from peers. In this program you’ll learn to:

  • Use evidence-based mindfulness techniques and visualization to reduce anxiety and "nerves" in high-stakes situations or negotiations

  • Gain alignment upfront through "framing"--a precision tool for getting the information on the table quickly for effective connection with listeners

  • Adapt to varying contexts and circumstances, including group presentations

  • "Verbally draft" in preparation for presentations

  • Handle challenges and think on your feet without losing authority or credibility

  • Use your voice for maximum engagement and impact

Shana prepared me for many events at Dell, from progress reports to keynote speeches in front of hundreds of people. The feedback from everyone has been very positive. Her ability to synthesize content and her supportive, but rigorous approach was indispensable in that positive outcome.
